The idea came about when we saw Pendants by the Masriera Brothers of Barcelona, the Iconic Brand of Art Nouveau Jewelry. We had long wanted to make a folding screen that combined textiles, wood, weaving and stained glass. We even made the first stained glass models in 2023. But other projects distracted us. The publication of examples of work by Masriera Brothers of Barcelona tipped the scales and we decided to “do it”.
The frame is usual. The fabric we choose is made of nettle fibers, it is very delicate, lightweight and has a charming pattern. But fabric inserts can be easily changed and we can match you with the fabric of your choice. What’s more, for a fee, we can make additional sets of inserts that you can change according to your mood.
The highlight of this folding screen is the Vienna straw style weaving of satin cord.The weave surrounds a painted stained glass medallion in the style of the Masriera Brothers jewelry –
